Office of Research Administration Shares Chiang Mai University’s Research Directions at the Consortium Deans’ Meeting for Science and Technology Disciplines
The Office of Research Administration (ORA), Chiang Mai University (CMU), led by Associate Professor Dr. Winita Boonyodom, Vice President, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Siramas Komonchinda, Assistant to the President, and the ORA team, was invited to deliver a presentation and exchange views at the Consortium Deans’ Meeting for Science and Technology Disciplines.
The session, entitled “Strategic Discussion and Advancing Research at Chiang Mai University,” provided a platform for sharing Chiang Mai University’s research policies and strategic directions. The discussion covered a review of research achievements under the 13th National Economic and Social Development Plan and the transition toward the 14th Plan, with an emphasis on advancing Inclusive Innovation for Sustainability.
The session also featured updates on publication performance, university rankings, and external research funding among the Science and Technology disciplines. In addition, the meeting highlighted the university’s efforts to strengthen research groups through 10 Research Consortiums, fostering greater collaboration and research capacity across disciplines.
The ORA team also engaged in discussions on approaches to promoting proactive research administration and management, with the aim of accelerating the translation of research, technology, and innovation into practical applications and Research Utilization.
The meeting served as an important platform for strengthening collaboration between the Office of Research Administration and the Science and Technology disciplines, while jointly advancing an effective and sustainable research ecosystem at Chiang Mai University.

チェンマイ大学（Chiang Mai University: CMU）のOffice of Research Administration（ORA）は、ウィニタ・ブンヨードム准教授（Associate Professor Dr. Winita Boonyodom、副学長）を中心に、シラマス・コモンチンダ助教（Assistant Professor Dr. Siramas Komonchinda、学長補佐）およびORAの職員とともに、理工系分野のConsortium学部長会議に招かれ、研究戦略および研究推進に関する講演と意見交換を行いました。
今回のセッションでは、「チェンマイ大学における戦略的協議と研究推進（Strategic Discussion and Advancing Research at Chiang Mai University）」をテーマに、チェンマイ大学の研究政策および研究開発の方向性について意見交換が行われました。
講演では、第13次国家経済社会開発計画（The 13th National Economic and Social Development Plan）における研究成果を振り返るとともに、第14次計画に向けた研究推進の方向性について説明が行われました。特に、持続可能性に向けた**Inclusive Innovation（包摂的イノベーション）**を重視し、幅広い関係者が研究・イノベーションに参画する取り組みについて共有されました。
また、理工系分野における研究論文の発表実績、大学ランキング、外部研究資金に関する最新情報が共有されたほか、10のResearch Consortiumsを通じた研究グループの連携・強化についても紹介されました。
さらに、研究、技術、イノベーションを実社会で活用する**Research Utilization（研究成果の社会実装）**を推進するため、研究管理をより戦略的かつ積極的に進めるための方策についても意見交換が行われました。
今回の会議は、Office of Research Administrationと理工系分野との連携をさらに強化するとともに、チェンマイ大学における効果的で持続可能な研究エコシステムの構築に向けて、双方が協力して研究力を高めていくための重要な機会となりました。
