Chiang Mai University Joins Consultation on Research-Driven Clean Air Legislation to Advance Sustainable Environmental Policies and Measures
Chiang Mai University (CMU) participated in a consultation meeting to review and gather feedback on the findings of the study entitled “Driving Research Utilization and Lessons Learned in Policy, Planning, and Incentive Measures to Promote Collaboration: A Case Study of the Clean Air Management Act.” The meeting aimed to explore approaches for translating research evidence into policies and practical measures to address air pollution and promote sustainable environmental management.
The CMU delegation was led by Professor Dr. Sakorn Pornprasert and Assistant Professor Dr. Pairat Phiboonrungroj, Assistants to the President, together with Associate Professor Dr. Chadarat Ampasewet, Deputy Director of the Office of Research Administration, Mr. Paisit Panichkul from the Faculty of Law, Chiang Mai University, as well as faculty members and researchers involved in the project.
The meeting was held on 3 September 2026 at the Phraya Sri Wisarnwaja Conference Room, Chiang Mai University.
At the meeting, Professor Dr. Sakorn Pornprasert delivered welcoming remarks to participants. Dr. Bantoon Srethasirote, Director of the Good Governance for Social Development and Environment Institute and Head of the project, then presented the objectives of the meeting and the study findings together with the research team.
The presentation was followed by an open forum for participants to exchange views and provide comments from various perspectives. The feedback and recommendations gathered during the consultation will contribute to the development and advancement of policies, plans, and incentive measures that promote collaborative approaches to air quality management and support their concrete implementation.
The meeting was jointly organized by the Good Governance for Social Development and Environment Institute, Chiang Mai University, and its partner networks, with support from the Office of the National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO). It served as a platform for presenting research findings and gathering perspectives, comments, and policy recommendations from experts and academics to help translate research knowledge into effective policy and environmental measures.
チェンマイ大学、研究成果を「クリーンエア法」政策へつなげる研究成果報告・意見交換会に参加 ― 持続可能な環境政策と対策の推進を目指して
チェンマイ大学（Chiang Mai University: CMU）は、「研究成果の社会実装と教訓の政策・計画・協力促進のためのインセンティブ施策への展開 ― クリーンエア管理法を事例として（Driving Research Utilization and Lessons Learned in Policy, Planning, and Incentive Measures to Promote Collaboration: A Case Study of the Clean Air Management Act）」と題する研究プロジェクトの成果報告および意見交換会に参加しました。
今回の会議では、研究成果を政策、計画および具体的な施策へとつなげ、タイにおける大気汚染問題の解決と持続可能な環境管理を推進するための方策について、研究成果の共有と意見交換が行われました。
チェンマイ大学からは、サコーン・ポーンプラサート教授（Professor Dr. Sakorn Pornprasert）およびパイラット・ピブーンルンルート助教（Assistant Professor Dr. Pairat Phiboonrungroj、学長補佐）、Office of Research Administrationのチャダラット・アンパセウェット准教授（Associate Professor Dr. Chadarat Ampasewet、副所長）、法学部のパイシット・パーニットクン氏（Mr. Paisit Panichkul）をはじめ、関係する教員および研究者が参加しました。
会議は2026年9月3日、チェンマイ大学のPhraya Sri Wisarnwaja Conference Roomにて開催されました。
冒頭、サコーン・ポーンプラサート教授が参加者に歓迎の挨拶を行いました。その後、Good Governance for Social Development and Environment Instituteの所長であり、本プロジェクトの責任者であるバントゥーン・セタシロート博士（Dr. Bantoon Srethasirote）が、会議の目的および研究プロジェクトの概要について説明し、研究チームとともに研究成果を報告しました。
研究成果の報告に続いて、参加者による意見交換の場が設けられ、大気質管理に関するさまざまな観点から意見や提案が出されました。今回寄せられた意見・提案は、関係機関間の協力を促進するための政策、計画およびインセンティブ施策の策定・推進に活用され、研究成果を具体的な政策や施策へとつなげることが期待されています。
本会議は、Good Governance for Social Development and Environment Institute、チェンマイ大学および関係するパートナー機関の協力により、Office of the National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council（NXPO）の支援を受けて開催されました。研究成果を広く共有するとともに、専門家や研究者から多角的な意見および政策提言を募り、研究知識を効果的な政策や環境対策へとつなげるための重要な機会となりました。
