Free Drinking Water

Free Drinking Water

Chiang Mai University provides free drinking water dispensers throughout the university, including in food centers, dormitory cafeterias, faculties, and various buildings. The condition and cleanliness of the water dispensers are regularly checked, and the filters are changed regularly. Many of these dispensers use sensor systems – just place your water bottle in front of the sensor, and the water will flow out, reducing the need for physical contact.

Having free water dispensers available throughout Chiang Mai University not only provides convenience for students, staff, and the public who use the university’s facilities, but also encourages waste reduction and decreases the use of disposable materials by promoting the use of personal cups or containers for refilling. This supports the CMU Net Zero goal, which aims to make the university carbon neutral by 2032.
