Public Learning Activities within Chiang Mai University
Chiang Mai University has successfully hosted multiple large-scale educational events open to the general public during the 2024 academic year. These events provided free access to educational resources, workshops, lectures, and demonstrations, directly supporting lifelong learning opportunities for diverse audiences including students, teachers, parents, and interested public.
อว. Fair Northern Region 2024

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) organized the second regional MHESI Fair in Northern Thailand, 2024, with CMU playing a significant role on June 27-29. This large-scale event showcased Thailand’s capabilities in developing the economy through higher education, science, research, and innovation, while providing extensive educational opportunities for the public.

26th Higher Education Course Marketplace
Chiang Mai University participated in the 26th of the Higher Education Course Marketplace, a well-established public educational event on November, 7 – 8 2024 at Chiang Mai University Convention Center. This annual event provides the community with educational services and public accessibility included workshop and CMU On Tour.


The festival took place at the Lanna Ancient House Museum, a significant cultural heritage site on CMU campus, providing an authentic educational environment for learning about traditional Lanna architecture, lifestyle, and cultural practices



CMU Education Expo 2025 was a major two-day educational event organized as part of CMU’s 60th Anniversary celebration on January 20-21, 2025, focusing on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). This comprehensive event was designed to create new dimensions in education for sustainability and provided extensive lifelong learning opportunities for the public. The event featured distinguished speakers providing educational content on national education policy and direction, global trends in educational development and transformation, Labor market demands and societal needs in the digital era, future economy and financial literacy, AI and technology in education, and career development and self-discovery for students. The event included workshops that free workshops addressing essential competencies in the Digital Disruption era, CMU sit-in program that provided prospective students with authentic classroom experiences, exhibition booths, and CMU Networking & Dinner for high school guidance counselors.
